Love a French wedding and even better when it’s one of your oldest friends tying the knot.

This lovely couple wanted two sets of bunting made. As the wedding was a meeting of an English and French family they chose to have the red, white and blue bunting (representing the flags) to decorate the area where the ceremony took place. And in the main marquee where the reception was held I made some lovely pink and green strands to complement the wedding flowers.

I love all the detailing at this beautiful French wedding and the lovely flow of colour creates a very special atmosphere!

This wedding was all about the colour. Having a beautiful colour palette to work with is such a joy. I always spend time working with the couple and researching their fabrics to get the right tones. These colours were inspired by the bridesmaid dresses so it was important to get good colour matches. We were all pleased with the results and it has a great impact when hung on mass!

It’s no secret that pink and green is one of my favourite combos so when I got asked to research fabric in coral and mint I was in my element. I love having wedding flowers as my colour reference – when the bunting ties in so well with the floral arrangements it makes everything feel connected and can transform a white marquee into the perfect venue!

Day 2 of Wedding Week and today I am looking back at some personalised work!

I get asked to make lots of personalised wedding bunting. Mr & Mrs and Just Married strands are the most popular but I love working with couples and exploring their ideas to get them the right bunting to fit their venue. The personalised strands often dress the top tables but I have also made bunting to welcome the guests and to decorate the card table, the cake area or the bar.
